Any ideas for wireless solutions linking a mac to a stereo and speakers and tv to stereo? we have just moved house and need wireless only solutions around the house in connecting a mac (osx 10.4) to a sony hifi in a different room to link up and play itunes through the stereo. we need a wireless modem and adaptor to connect to broadband as phone line is in a separate hallway. we also would like a wireless connection from our samsung (new) tv to the same stereo to again play sound through the speakers. also are there any decent wireless speakers for a mac as ideally we would like speakers for the same room where the mac is and also our bedroom. i have looked at airport express etc and visited many shops but am baffled with it all. sounds a lot i know but please advise in plain english exactly how everything would work and cost. all the above has to be reasonably good quality but also affordable. I know i already stated it is a mac so must be mac compatible, if you do not know this please don't answer the question. Cheers.

Alternative Solutions to Wireless xbox 360 networking? Are there any alternatives to linking the xbox 360 up to an extra wireless router or bridge to the mainframe router located in a different room, too far for a long ethernet cable to reach. Or if there are no cheaper solutions is it really worth coughing up £60 for an official Microsoft Xbox wireless network USB device?

Wireless network keeps disconnecting - technical solutions only please? As title suggests. In a house with around 6 other wireless laptops connecting to the router which have no issues. The laptop has a wireless card which is enabled. Originally it got stuck on 'aquiring network address' with the XP networking wizard. The network authentication is OK. Therefore i assigned the laptop a static IP address and gave it the gateway to connect through. It now connects to the network OK. However no webpages are accessible while it is connected and im not sure why. Also, given a period of roughly a minute the network will disconnect and im back to square one. Ive tried the laptop in different locations close and far from the router. Solutions: The network type is 11g for the card but how can i find out what the router is set to? Also i can change the signal on the card i.e. 1 - 11 but how can i find out what the router is? The only solutions i can bring now is that i should replace the router? - im going to try a USB adapter later today. Reply to top Q - I have to use static. It will not give itself an IP with dynamic at all. I have NO idea what the router is, there is no make or even a model or serial on it. The broadband is SKY. Its an internal card. Yes, sorry i should have been more specific. I assigned the gateway of the router to the laptop. I think i tried to assign a DNS server but at this point i started going out of my depth but i can see i need it now. Any idea on an address i could use? or how to find it i don't think its under IP config on the other laptops from memory.

Help with solutions for PS3 Wireless Connection Problems? I have a ps3 and a seperate router (the one that connects my PC to the internet) and my ps3 is a floor below the router. the wireless connection to this router works, but the signal is frustratingly weak. Internet Crysis, does anyone know of any highspeed wireless internet solutions for a rural area? My computer constantly drops wireless internet connections. Solutions, please? This has been going on for a while, but whenever my computer gets on an internet connection other than the one at my parent's house, like one at school or at a cafe, it will constantly disconnect and reconnect, so my browsing constantly hiccuping. Even when everyone else in the room gets internet fine. The signal bars also never reach above two, even when the signal is full bars on other computers. We have tried many different wireless cards and it happens the same with all of them, so it's probably something in my computer. It's really frustrating and I've had several different people look at it to no avail. The card right now is a 2wire and so is the network at my parent's house and the computer runs Windows XP. I'd really like a simple solution to this if possible! The other option another person gave me was to reformat the hard drive, but I'd rather not do that. Thanks!
