How do i get the wireless card in my hp laptop to work under Ubuntu Linux?

I have a dv6770se with an atheros wireless card, it's built in. I have tried madwifi and ndiswrapper and i cannot get either to work, yes i loaded the correct inf file. Can anyone help?

  1. Hello, I am curious if you have done a search at the Ubuntu Forums. Most issues have been resolved there. I would need to know the steps you took to use ndiswrapper. Showing the exact cli steps more specifically. So if you could edit your post to reflect what you did.
